I just watched the incredible documentary on Netflix, “The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson.”

Why did it take me so long to watch it?

I vaguely remember a review…one review saying something along the lines of it not answering any questions…

Is that why? Perhaps.

It certainly asked some questions of me.

Marsha’s story is one that needs to be told. And the story of Stonewall. If you haven’t seen the documentary, do so. Do so now.

And watch this powerful speech by Sylvia Rivera to a mostly white gay male crowd. They boo her…They boo her…one of the women who gave them rights. Gave me rights. By then end, some were cheering…but the boos…..
